Summer holidays are nearly over Downunder and I know many of you are busy setting up for 2019.

I made this quick little 1st Day Craft or use it as teachers gift and the cost - nothing.

Print on to card or paper colored/coloured or keep it on white paper and children decorate their own.  The shape is simple for little ones to cut their own.

Make into a necklace or glue onto a strip of cardboard and make it into a crown.

Hello friends, this is just a quick post to let you know I have popped the pages for Making Words - A fun and Simple Station in my Teachers Pay Teachers Store and best of all it is FREE

It can be used for magnetic letters, stamps, and letter tiles.

It's a beautiful sunny Saturday here I plan to spend the day by the pool finishing off some classroom labels getting them shop ready for our new school year.

Here's a peek they are not finished yet so I best get to work as school starts in just a couple of weeks.

Back to School Bunting

Do you love to get something bright on the walls pretty quickly in your 

classroom?  I always feel the classroom comes alive with children's work. 

Get to know your children with a few simple questions.

 I have included both spellings of favorite/favourite and color/colour.

 This bunting is designed to be very simple with very little teacher input,

 children only need to write their name and age and the rest is drawing.

I have also added this as a worksheet if you would prefer.

There is a title page to make a gorgeous "Back to School" display.

Hey there it's nearly back to school time and I have a few things 

that maybe handy to help you get organised.

At the moment my Class Schedule cards are on sale at 50% off.

Simply print cut, laminate and put velcro dots or 

magnetic strips (for your white board) 

on the back and your away. 

There are 74 different cards and 6 blank ones with 

a mixture of images so you can add your own titles.

I have kept them fairly plain as I like to do this to suit early readers 

and hopefully they will fit in with your class theme.

As always I have included a US letter and A4 copy.

A Back To School Freebie

For all of our Northern Hemisphere friends heading back for 

your new school year I have a wee gift just for you.

Down in NZ we have just started our 3rd term and are in the thick of winter.

 I managed to sneak away for a little ski holiday in gorgeous Queenstown. 

As well as skiing some of my favourite things to do are a lunch at Millbrook Resort or Amisfield Vineyard a wander through Arrowtown and a stroll through Queenstown. 

I hardly took any photos but I have added a few below.

Anyway more importantly I know those first few days in Kindergarten can be tricky so hence this is a simple little booklet that may be a help in your first few days of Kindergarten.

I thought I might use it as a quick and simple assessment, just to give me a snapshot of where everyone is.
But it also can be used as an aid  tool to teach and introduce simple skills such as name writing, alphabet identification, numbers, cutting and pasting, color identification, drawing, tracing and shape identification.
You could also use each page and expand each activity and use as a way to introduce a teaching point like scissor rules.

It's hard those few days, to keep everyone busy and happy and sometimes they just whip through something that you had hoped may take longer so print it off and use it as a just in case I need something extra.

Use it however you like, I hope it is helpful.

Simply print staple down the sides and cut in half to give you 2 booklets.
There are 7 activities.

The activities include,

Color identification

Name writing and identification of letters in name.

Tracing

AND 

Age and numbers 1 to 10 tracing and writing.

Cutting and pasting.

Self and friend drawing

Draw.. What is in your lunchbox today?

1 to 1 matching shape matching.

This booklet is in US letter size paper with the spelling color.  I will duplicate in A4 paper with the spelling of colour but with holidaying, the beginning of term and other products on the go I felt that option could wait just a little while.
