This is going to be a little blog post as I have had an extremely busy weekend but I did want to tell you about this fun little pack with some fun Easter writing ideas an Easter basket template and an Easter color/colour the sight word picture.

We started a fun little Easter writing activity on Thursday a little bit tricky for some but sometimes you just got to push those little ones a wee bit me thinks.  


We began our plan for writing descriptions of the Easter Bunny - I just love the discussion that a topic like this encourages.  It is just one of those topics that everyone can and does take part in, everyone has their own ideas and everyone just gets so super excited about.

The Plan.

   Just as a quick aside the day before this, we had a big chat about adjectives and how much more interesting they make everything sound.  I chose the cutest picture of a fluffy little chicken and we made a list of adjectives to describe and then the children wrote a sentence or 2 or 3 would be fantastic about the chicken.

The template.

Anyhow this coming week we will put this altogether and write our Easter Bunny description.  I have made 2 templates to write these on (1 with the middle lines and 1 with single but more lines) I will decide which one each child will use, we will decorate them and then display them.

I will add another page behind this sheet.

I will encourage and hope for and be over the moon if I get this

 -  an introduction and 2 outside descriptions points and 2 inside description points.

It's nearly Easter can you believe it, 2 more weeks of school for us down here Easter holidays and then we are hitting Term 2.  

Eeek Term 2!

The autumn term for us down here - unlike our teacher friends in the northern hemisphere - really has no particular special celebration so it really is kinda boring, actually really boring.  But as we do we will soldier on and make it all as all as fun as we possibly can.

Anyway enough of the doom and gloom of our impending autumn...

We now  head in to Easter - which I love, like really love - who doesn't theres family time, holidays, hot cross buns, Easter eggs and the Easter Bunny like honestly, what's not to love?

To celebrate I have made a little Easter Pack and it is all for free it features writing ideas, math sheets and an Easter basket.

Write about Easter Break.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter it was beautiful weather here in NZ even though it is autumn now and leaves are falling. We are luckily still having almost summer like weather.  It was so great to have an Easter break not linked with the holidays, I always feel slightly ripped off when Easter is included in the holidays.   I know it gave me and my family the rest they needed to get through until the end of term.  Only 13 more school days to go.
