I have this fun little activity for sight words to share with you, Window Words.  It's a pretty simple concept and so easy to set up.

1. Grab some washi tape and make a box on a window or on a door it really doesn't matter.
2. Add a title like Today's Window Word is . . . or grab my premade title from my Window Words Pack
3. When children arrive they read the word and then write the word, once and once only within the washi tape box. Boom, done!
4. If you have my pack you may also like to add the worksheet

Most importantly I do not mark these no, no, no - I ain't got no time for that, the children know this the parents know this and that is that!  You can choose to make these into a book or just throw them all on a table with pencils in the morning and that is that.

There is something just a little bit naughty that the kids love about writing on the window.

Window Words Pack comes with

*73 Window Word worksheets

*A booklet cover

*Each word in a window image and also plain black and white for you to choose your display option.

*The Title "Today's Window Word is"

*A checklist to keep track of words and ✔︎ if you felt learning was successful or not & if you need to revisit.

*A sheet for children to fill out at the end of the week with all 4 words you could use this as an end of week reflection or a mini spelling test.

*Instruction/information sheet with ideas for rules and management of this activity.

The 73 words included are:
I A a the to like of is in it on at my am go me be we he as up by if or all can see and was for run you are but had not out one two three his her him she big little come here look this play make said have that they from where what away help jump down find with then their funny yellow red blue green mom/mum dad

building sight words

I like to vary it with sight word work and add different themes
to keep little people interested.

Easter, Christmas, farm, summer, winter you name it we do it.

I switch it around depending on what we are focusing on so I introduced this construction theme.

For when we need a little boost.

And just for fun I add a little centre with little construction hats, mini hammers, nails and wood - Is she mad you ask.  Honestly, a few rules and the worry of being banned from the centre is enough to keep everyone on the right track.

Well you can just imagine - Yep they love it!

I am just so cross with myself when my boys were little they had cute mini toolbelts and I passed them on. Damm they would be so perfect.

The lesson here keep everything if your anything like me,
I hoard stuff for teaching it is ridiculous.

I found these cute as can be little cone sign holders and placed them in the writing area.

There are 31 worksheets exploring each sight word ,

The words included in the pack are:
I am the here come my is like to can look see went in this on and for put have it we you there saw me a go at said up

 Cards for each word.

3 different Write the room worksheets to match the cards.

Separate numbered cards to match.

And 6 pages of silly signs to add to your table or writing area.

It is autumn here and the leaves are falling and the weather is changing so I have been having a bit of a "Spring Clean" on many of my original products.  Some of them are over a year old which is when I first started making products for my shop (I have been making things for years but they were just for me and my colleagues).  Any who - I went through my Farm Unit the other day and thought eek! help! this needs a complete update and so I spent all last week and the weekend adding, updating and improving.
I thought I would give you a sneak peak of the new completed update.

Also if you have bought one of my older products please check to see if it has been updated.

I have added word banks as seen in the title and 16 animal labels -
I really don't know why I didn't include these before very strange!!!

I have also added a smaller version which includes pictures, animal names and their babies names so chn can play match.

I have added crowns for barn, cow, farm, sheep, horse and pig the animal ones include 2 versions as shown above.

Worksheets for looking at animals and their babies, cut and paste sheets for sorting egg layers, feathered or not feathered and matching animals to what they produce.

2 cootie catchers .

I have included simple foldable readers, for:  This is a..., Here is the...  and I am a... each one comes in coloured/colored and b/w and there are 3 for each phrase.

It also includes lots of alphabet, sight word, writing prompts and more.

 And lots of math ideas

and includes 2 craftivities

You can grab The Farm from my TpT Store and if you already own it please do
download the updated version.
