St Pat's Day Freebie.

Make a Little Leprechaun Hat.

With a Full Day of  fun activities.

For St Pat's Day I like to make Little Leprechaun Hats and create our day around this fun activity.

Of course the day must start with the wearing of green.
Then we read "Thats What Leprechauns Do." by Eve Bunting.

There is also a youtube reading available click on the link below to access.

It is a tale of little mischievious leprechauns so sets a fun atmosphere for the day.
I also use this day to focus on the "at" family of words as we are making a hat on St Pat's Day.

We brainstorm leprechauns what they are, what they wear, where they live, what they do etc.

And then we create our Leprechaun Hats. The template and instructions are available in my Freebie Product. (you can find the link below or in my Tpt sidebar)

Then we write about our hats, I have provided 2 ideas a Narrative template and an Instructional template (see below for the instructional writing).

Choose which one is best for your grade.

We focus on the "at" words and I have provided "at" cards and activities for this.

There are some more "at" activities in my pack.

We round off the day with some 1 to 10 number activities.

Download my freebie pack from my Tpt store Kindergarten Matters, you can also grab it here and also via my TPT side bar.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Happy St Patricks Day.
