Hello friends, this is just a quick post to let you know I have popped the pages for Making Words - A fun and Simple Station in my Teachers Pay Teachers Store and best of all it is FREE

It can be used for magnetic letters, stamps, and letter tiles.

It's a beautiful sunny Saturday here I plan to spend the day by the pool finishing off some classroom labels getting them shop ready for our new school year.

Here's a peek they are not finished yet so I best get to work as school starts in just a couple of weeks.

If you are on holidays enjoy the rest of your break and for our Northern Hemisphere friends hopefully, this little freebie idea may help ease those cold wintery days.

Thanks for stopping by

A Simple to Set Up Writing Station

This is a really simple station to set up and you can add it to your writing or reading time.
All you need is the posters, the worksheet or even scrap paper, and either alphabet stamps, magnetic letters or alphabet tiles.  These are grouped into 2 containers vowels and consonants.

I change it around and mix it up tiles, stamps and magnetic letters.

First, introduce vowels and consonants, we have a song we sing, I have had it for so long I have no idea who it is by or even where it came from.
I am sure you could find one on youtube

 Children choose their letters

I decided on 3 vowels and 6 consonants to make it easier but for older children you could drop the number of letters.
Write their words and start over.
They must sort their letters back into the correct containers after each turn.
I provide a help sheet on the container and a list on the poster.

You can add a timer if you like and introduce more rules but with little ones,
it is easier just to keep it simple.

It is autumn here and the leaves are falling and the weather is changing so I have been having a bit of a "Spring Clean" on many of my original products.  Some of them are over a year old which is when I first started making products for my shop (I have been making things for years but they were just for me and my colleagues).  Any who - I went through my Farm Unit the other day and thought eek! help! this needs a complete update and so I spent all last week and the weekend adding, updating and improving.
I thought I would give you a sneak peak of the new completed update.

Also if you have bought one of my older products please check to see if it has been updated.

I have added word banks as seen in the title and 16 animal labels -
I really don't know why I didn't include these before very strange!!!

I have also added a smaller version which includes pictures, animal names and their babies names so chn can play match.

I have added crowns for barn, cow, farm, sheep, horse and pig the animal ones include 2 versions as shown above.

Worksheets for looking at animals and their babies, cut and paste sheets for sorting egg layers, feathered or not feathered and matching animals to what they produce.

2 cootie catchers .

I have included simple foldable readers, for:  This is a..., Here is the...  and I am a... each one comes in coloured/colored and b/w and there are 3 for each phrase.

It also includes lots of alphabet, sight word, writing prompts and more.

 And lots of math ideas
